Met Office 1D-Var: Plans for future development

The Met Office 1D-Var package will be continually developed to support new sensors and radiative transfer models, where user requirements exist.

A generic NWPSAF 1D-Var scheme will be developed which merges the Met Office 1D-Var with the other NWPSAF 1D-Var schemes and will be accompanied by a graphical user interface for use in planned NWPSAF training courses.
